The Domination of the Week: Jake 181.14 -- 115.62 Heath
Futility of the Week: Ethan who's injury depleted lineup suffered further thanks to an abysmal performance from Carson Palmer
!!! Double 50 Point Win Alert !!!
This week had more than it's fair share of domination. Derek destroyed Stacey by 50+ in the matchup of the week. Perhaps its the beginning of the end for the newly weds after such a drubbing. The other domination came from an unexpected source. Jake, who got beat just last week by 50, dismissed of the defending champ Heath by 65 points. While Derek is still considering all options for what to call his wife's team for this week, it has already been decided by Jake that Heath's team will be known as "The Ass that DJ eats". Week 3 and we already have 3 50 point dominations.
The other matchups of this week were far from exciting. Brian defeated the entirely dismantled squad that Ethan owns. Barr beat Evan, who forgot to start an active TE, by nearly 20 points despite a goose egg from Kelvin Benjamin to bring him to 3-0 (Barr now has exactly as many wins as he accrued last season). And Jeff devoured DJ just like DJ devours ass. The only two remaining zeroes in anyone's win-loss records are Barr's 0 losses and Ethan's 0 wins. The rest of the league owns either a 2-1 or 1-2 record. Competition is as fierce as its ever been in the Domination League.
The upper part of the standings saw quite the shakeup this week as 2 of the 3 undefeated teams lost and 2 of 3 winless teams found wins. Derek catapults into 2nd place and Brian climbs to 3rd while DJ falls to 4th. Heath skids down to 5th place and Evan Falls one spot to 6th; the cusp of the playoff teams. Stacey falls dramatically into 7th from 4th. The bottom teams remain the same.
1. Barr (3-0)
2. Derek (2-1) ↑5
3. Brian (2-1) ↑3
4. DJ (2-1) ↓1
5. Heath (2-1) ↓3
6. Evan (1-2) ↓1
7. Stacey (1-2) ↓3
8. Jeff (1-2)
9. Jake (1-2)
10. Ethan (0-3)

Week 2
The Domination of the Week: Barr 163.46 -- 112.02 Jake
Futility of the Week: Evan who lost to DJ by less than a point
Week 2 is already in the books and what a week it was. Sunday matchups were prefaced by a lot of name calling, trash talk, and then backing off of said trash talk from Barr and Jake, prompting the commissioner to make an unprecedented mid-week change to the matchup of the week. In the end the umbrella matchup ended up being the domination of the week as Barr manhandled Jake to the tune of 50+ for our first such occurrence of the season. For this week Jake's team will be known as Barr's Little Bitch. We were on double 50 point win alert as Heath looked like he might eclipse the mark against Ethan but fell short by just 6 points. Either way the defending champ is putting together a successful title defense so far. As mentioned in the futility of the week, Evan saw his win against DJ slip from his hands and fall to the ground just like the TD pass Jordan Matthews dropped. Stacey who has inexplicably changed her name to "DicksOutForHarambe" eeked by Jeff by about 4 points and Derek secured an 11 point victory over Brian to bring both of them to 1-1. Barr, DJ, and Heath all remain undefeated while Jeff, Jake, and Ethan stay winless. The rest of us own a 1-1 record. The season is still in its infancy but the standings have yielded a sight I don't think any of us ever thought we'd see; Barr sits in 1st place of the domination league.
The matchup of week 3 is Stacey vs Derek in what we will surely refer to as the divorce game in the future. We also have two 2-0 teams squaring off against two 0-2 teams looking to pull the upset as Heath faces Jake and DJ faces Jeff. The cream will eventually rise to the top of the standings but these first few weeks will be crucial.
Standings:
1. Barr (2-0) ↑3
2. Heath (2-0) ↑1
3. DJ (2-0) ↑2
4. Stacey (1-1) ↑2
5. Evan (1-1) ↓3
6. Brian (1-1) ↓5
7. Derek (1-1)
8. Jeff (0-2)
9. Jake (0-2)
10. Ethan (0-2)

Week 1
The Domination of the Week: Evan 173.00 -- 136.86 Jeff
Futility of the Week: Stacey for scoring the third most points of the week in a losing effort.
And so it has begun. The third season of the domination league started with a bang on Thursday night as Barr and Heath got off to rapid starts on the heels of Kelvin Benjamin and CJ Anderson respectively. That too-soon Benjamin pick isn't looking all that bad in hindsight. The first matchup to conclude was coincidentally the matchup of the week as well as what turned out to be the domination of the week. Evan dominated Jeff by 36 points in the battle of the misleading team names. Monster performances from Luck, Green, and even Dan Bailey got Evan off to a fast lead, one that would prove to be insurmountable as Jeff's trio of Patriots players failed to bring him back. Their matchup concluded on Sunday night. All of the other matchups were relatively close heading into Monday and each team had at least one player playing that evening. Barr put the win out of reach for Ethan after Big Ben put him up by 32 with only Ethan's defense left (The Rams who got shredded). Its worth noting that Barr was the runner up for domination of the week. Could this be the year of Barr?? Stacey seemingly had the win locked up against Brian but when you have Antonio Brown nothing is out of the realm of possibility. Thanks to Brown and a resurgent Carlos Hyde he overcame a 42 point deficit to win 177 to 171 in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. It's interesting that for the second season in a row Stacey has lost to me in week 1 while I score the most points of the week. Last season Stacey had the second most points against her accrued for the year and she is off to a similar start this year. The closest matchup heading into Monday was Derek vs the defending champion, Heath. The RB heavy draft didn't quite work out for Derek in week 1 as both Elliot and Ingram underperformed. Both team's QBs didn't quite live up to expectations either and in the end Heath got the victory. I'll note, however, that Heath has already been bitten by the injury bug as Keenan Allen is lost for the season and Russell Wilson is questionable for week 2. In an attempt to remedy the situation a trade was made which sent Jordan Reed and the Carolina Defense to Ethan in exchange for Delanie Walker and Stefon Diggs. Unfortunately week 1 didn't see any team win by 50+ but such instances happened on about a dozen occasions last season.
The week 2 matchup of the week is The Umbrella Matchup: Barr vs Jake. Trash talk abounds and Barr has suddenly come to life with the disses after a strong week 1 win.
Standings;
1. Brian (1-0)
2. Evan (1-0)
3. Heath (1-0)
4. Barr (1-0)
5. DJ (1-0)
6. Stacey (0-1)
7. Derek (0-1)

Here At Last
Finally, the 2016 season is but a day away. Thursday night will serve as a nice appetizer for week 1 as several teams will have players suiting up in the Super Bowl rematch. The matchup of the week is Jeff's Evan's Team vs Evan's Andy's Army in a game that is sure to yield no team name changes now, or ever probably. A few changes have been made to the league during the grueling offseason. The most notable change is the new 50+ point rule wherein if a team loses by 50 or more points, the winning team gets to change the losing team's name for the following week. Trading of draft picks and a stipulation that teams keeper players for the following season must be on the team's roster no later than week 10 of the regular season were the other two changes made.
This season is sure to bring more of the same excitement we've seen in the previous two seasons. Blowouts and wins by fractions of a point are near certainties. However, many questions loom that only time will answer. Will DJ and Heath fall from grace back to the bottom of the league after a historic season from both? Probably. Will Jake return to the top? Doubtful. Will Ethan, Derek, or Stacey, who have been perennial playoff teams, finally break through to win the title? No. Will perennial non-playoff team, Barr, EVER make the playoffs? Also no. Who will be most hurt by the inevitable injuries? DJ. How many trades will the commissioner make? Infinite. Who will taste the sweet sweet pleasures of total domination? Me.
I wish you all terrible rotten luck this season as I claim the title.
Sincerely,
Your Commissioner
